A looser fitting buttondown with large dropped chest pockets, corozo buttons, french seams, squared cuffs, pointed collar, more pronounced curved hem and wide stitched placket. This shirt is cut more relaxed in the chest with a dropped shoulder and a slightly longer body compared to the Two Pocket Shirt.

Hand numbered edition made in Japan.

100% cotton velvet woven in Fukui Prefecture by a multi-generational family run mill. Soft and relatively unstructured, this cloth was then dyed in Okayama with a mixture of about 90% natural logwood dye and 10% conventional Oekotex dye to help achieve a more even and durable color.

Justin is 5'11" and wearing a size medium, Nile is 5'7" and wearing a size extra small.

Hand or delicate machine wash cold, hang dry.

It is a recurring theme among the smaller and independent weavers - the juxtaposing of quiet village roads with the signature hum of a few power looms reverberating from hundred year old buildings. On this occasion, located outside the town of Echizen in Fukui Prefecture - a look into the world of dobby looms at the velvet specialists, Yamazaki Vellodo.

Founded in the early 1960's and now in its third generation of leadership, the mill is operated by Yuzo Yamashita, his son Naomichi and his wife. They continue to push the limits of velvet weaving, testing new fiber combinations and weave structures in an ongoing balance of mastered classics and innovative interpretations.
