A looser fitting buttondown with single chest pocket, corozo buttons, french seams, squared cuffs, pointed collar, more pronounced curved hem and ‘invisible’ placket. This shirt is based on the same fit of the Big Shirt - cut more relaxed in the chest with a dropped shoulder and a slightly longer body compared to the Two Pocket Shirt.
Hand numbered edition made in California.
This garment was over-dyed by hand in the iron rich soil of Amami Oshima (Japan). Referred to as mud dye, this process relies on multiple passes through a two step process - first the garment is soaked in a concentrate of boiled local wood chips (for high tannin content) before dyeing in the iron rich mud. The combination can create browns, purples, and even blacks that prove to be durable against washing and heavy use.

Hand or machine wash cold with mild/natural detergent. If hand washing, do not soak. Machine washing will change the appearance slightly, adding a bit of texture and crinkle as the wool twists in the wash.
