Intended to float in the room, the low platform allows the feet to recess into shadow - with the solid one-piece headboard as the main intervention, keeping pillows in place during the night and functioning as a low backrest to lean against when sitting up. Four wide boards makeup the base, the same width as the headboard - with the center slats providing space for air circulation.

The Bed is shown in standard queen dimensions and the headboard height & is designed around an approximately 10’’ thick mattress. Other sizes are possible, with prices subject to change.

The natural oil finish seals and protects the wood - but it is suggested to use coasters, and to dust the surface with a slightly dampened towel. If stronger cleaning is necessary we can recommend a cleaner that will maintain the integrity of the oil finish. In the most extreme case, the wood can be sanded and the oil reapplied.

Each piece is made from locally sourced natural material. Wood settles over time and can react to changes in humidity and temperature - this can result in small checks or thin non-structural cracks. For the most part these changes are celebrated as the inherent expression and irregularity in the natural material.
