Continuing the collaboration with Marina Contro - the handweaver, teacher & artist who shares our studio space in San Francisco - this winter we worked together on a second iteration of the handwoven shirt project we did in 2021. Using the same undyed ramboulliet wool from Northern California - this time weaving a fine single ply yarn in two different natural shades of brown and charcoal to create a subtle check pattern, slightly lighter weight than the previous edition.
Five scarves and four made-to-order Big Shirts were presented in our shop space at 1367 Valencia Street - a rare occasion for us to create a truly regional in-house product.
